I&Y Construction is proud to announce the successful completion of a full turnkey sports lighting project for the Shippensburg Area School District in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Partnering with MUSCO Sports Lighting, this project delivers state-of-the-art TLC for LED™ technology to the district’s primary athletic facilities—enhancing lighting quality, energy efficiency, and long-term reliability for student-athletes and the broader community.

The installation brings a new level of performance to Shippensburg’s athletic complex, improving visibility, safety, and the overall game-night experience. As always, I&Y Construction was honored to support another school district in elevating their facilities to a modern, professional standard.

Scope of Work: Full Turnkey Sports Lighting Installation

I&Y Construction managed the complete lighting infrastructure upgrade, delivering a seamless end-to-end installation. The scope included:

• Foundation Drilling & Installation

• Drilled and installed four (5) concrete foundations for the football stadium and practice field lighting system.

• Pole Construction & Erection

• Built and set four (4) 80-foot MUSCO poles on the football field.
• Installed one (1) 60-foot pole on the practice field.
• All poles were assembled on-site and set using precision alignment and MUSCO specifications.

• Electrical System Upgrades

• Installed new 480V, 3-phase breakers in an existing panel to power the main lighting system.
• Installed a new 120V single-phase breaker in another existing panel for control equipment.
• Completed trenching and installed all required conduits for power and control wiring.
• Pulled and terminated wiring from the panels to each pole base.

• System Start-Up & Integration

• Coordinated with MUSCO technicians to integrate the TLC for LED™ controls.
• Verified aiming, control communication, load performance, and safety compliance.
